The Rev. Scott Wells
The Rev. Scott Wells has recently had his ordination recognized by the Christian Universalist Association and is in full standing.
Ordained in 1999, he also has fellowship with the Unitarian Universalist Association and a long history as a Universalist Christian, dating to his religion and history undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia. After hearing the call to the ministry, received a Master of Divinity degree from Brite Divinity School, Texas Christian University, in 1997.
He has served churches in South Carolina and Texas and pastored churches in Georgia and the District of Columbia. For the last twenty years, he has worked in nonprofit administration, and continues a ministry of writing, mainly writing about Universalism at revscottwells.com and universalistchristian.org.
He is a member of Universalist National Memorial Church and preaches there occasionally. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his husband, Jonathan Padget. “I’m glad to be a part of an association dedicated to witnessing to God’s complete love.”
